Launched in Janaury 2009, Caps At School is designed to assist Maryland, Virginia and D.C. elementary school educators with resources that will teach math, language, art, health and physical education. This unique program uses the sport of hockey and the Washington Capitals as a way to teach the curriculum.
Students will:
• Learn math using superstar Alex Ovechkin's stats.
• Hone their reading skills with Capitals Captain Chris Clark.
• Be creative and environmentally responsible with right-winger Matt Bradley.
• Become more healthy and active with defenseman Mike Green.
