Launched in Winter 2006, The Canadian Olympic Committee teamed up with Paton Publishing to offer educators a new and engaging resource designed to inspire students to become Smarter, Better and Stronger.
 
The Canadian Olympic School Program, presented by RBC®, is a  new  curriculum-based resource using the excitement and values of the Olympic Games as a way to teach students the curriculum.
 
This program aligns lesson plans with information about the Olympic Games and the achievements of Canadian athletes. Three new units are being added to the program this year PLUS, schools have the opportunity to get FREE Olympic-themed supplies for their students and to win an RBC Olympian school visit and an Olympic-themed sports kit!
 
The lesson plans are geared to Grades 4 to 6, and cover elements of reading, math and physical education that are common to provincial requirements across Canada.
